Q: Is a Nagalase test required for GcMAF treatment?
A: Nagalase testing is not required for GcMAF therapy because macrophage activation is always necessary for the effective functioning of the immune system to destroy diseases. GcMAF supplements should be continued while there is disease present, regardless of nagalase status.
Q: We have an autistic child, which GcMAF product do you recommend?
A: Depending on the child's weight, if the child is 20 kg or less, we recommend MAF powder. If the child is 20 kg and over, we recommend MAF capsules.
Q: Are there dietary recommendations for autistic children while taking GcMAF?
A: While taking GcMAF, it is recommended to eliminate wheat and dairy products, avoid sugars, artificial sweeteners, chemical seasonings, artificial colors, and processed foods.
Q: How long should GcMAF treatment be continued?
A: Typically, one course of GcMAF is 6 months. More courses may be needed and this is determined by a number of factors, such as the type of the disease, what stage it is at, symptoms present, progress if any, and pathology.
Continue to treat with GcMAF until the symptoms go away. After this stage, patients may need a maintenance dose once every week or every two weeks, depending on the illness. This dose is usually administered over a longer period.
Since macrophage activation is necessary for a healthy immune system, it is advisable to continue GcMAF therapy while the disease is present, and then afterwards to prevent recurrence.
Q: How much does GcMAF cost?
A: Our GcMAF products come in packs containing multiple capsules, powder sachets or lollies. View our GcMAF product page for the exact price of each product.
Q: Do any supplements need to be taken with GcMAF?
A: GcMAF has to be taken with 10,000 IU of vitamin D3 weekly.
With many illnesses, vitamin D in the blood is at a low level. For GcMAF to work effectively, vitamin D levels need to be normal. Test your 25 hydroxy-vitamin D and calcium levels in the blood. If you have high calcium levels, reduce vitamin D3 intake.
Q: How can one tell if GcMAF is working?
A: Indications that GcMAF is working include a rise in blood monocyte count after 1 month of taking the supplement. This is an indication you are responding well to the GcMAF treatment. You will also see improvements in symptoms and wellbeing.
Q: How long does GcMAF last?
A: Our GcMAF lasts for 2 years when kept in the refrigerator.
